On 1st June, the VILLUM Window Collection opened its first special exhibition “Wall of Windows from the Brooking”.
The exhibition’s main feature is a unique wall consisting of 68 historical windows designed by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas on the basis of the English architectural historian Charles Brooking's impressive collection of building components.
To the opening ceremony we had invited the award-winning English architect, professor Dean Hawkes to hold a lecture on the topic The window in British architecture.
In an interview we also got professor Hawkes to elaborate on the relationship between the window, the light and the architecture.
