Contemporary

2010–

Contemporary architecture is not characterised by a particular characteristic style, going instead in many directions. Architects experiment with space and form, giving those viewing a building the possibility to form their own interpretations. Simplicity and functional space and an idiom reminiscent of modernism are contemporary.

The focus on energy, climate and environment is paramount, and sustainability is a prime motivator for the choice of materials. New technologies using solar cells and glass that contributes positively to the balance of expended and absorbed energy also play an important role in window design, as do the requirement of a good indoor climate and access to sunlight.
